How it does it work?
Buy and Pay Online and Pick Up in our Store offers you free shipping. You will also be pleased that there are no extra fees associated with this service. Here's how it works.
Find the items you want online at www.newriversports.com.
Place your order online.
Once your order is processed, we'll send you a “confirmation” email.
As soon as your package has arrived at our store, we will call you for pick up.

Can I place an order when the store is closed?
Yes. Our warehouses are open online 24/7 for your convenience.

Will I be charged a delivery fee if I buy online and pick up in-store?
No, we're proud to offer this service free of charge!

When will I be charged?
Your credit card will be charged when you place the order online.

How do I change or cancel my order for pickup?

When will my order be ready?
This depends on the time of day that you placed the order. Our warehouse staff is excellent at packing and having your items ready for UPS/FedEx shipment. On an average, your items will take 72 hours to arrive in store. When it arrives, you will be notified at the phone number provided with your order.

Who can pick up the order?
All firearm and receiver orders MUST be picked up by the person placing the order and must be over 21 years of age. Background checks will be filled out when you arrive to claim your purchase.

All other orders may be picked up by the person who placed the order online or by a person named as the alternate by calling us at 540-980-1133.

Where do I go to pick up my order?
You may work with any of our staff at New River Sports. 

What will I need to pick up my order?
  • If you picking up a firearm, you will need a valid government-issued ID, such as a Driver's License with your current address on it. You will also need a secondary ID with your current address on it, such as a Hunting and/or Fishing License, Voter's Card, Utility/Medical Bill, or your Vehicle Registration.
  • If you are picking up an assault firearm, you will need a third valid ID which can be a combination of those IDs mentioned above.
Can I try my items on after I pick them up?  
Yes, you can! Fitting rooms will be available for your use.


We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.


Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on the original order.


If there’s a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ship returns via Ground UPS or insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs).

We will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise only.

Merchandise refused or returned that appears used will be subject to a restocking fee of 15%. (Labor fees are not refundable.)

All other merchandise returned will be charged a restocking free of 1.5%. Duplicate Orders created by repeatedly hitting the mouse will be charged a refund fee of 1.5%.
